Recording

The process is simple. Set up your band’s gear. We mic it and record it to hard disk. The only real decision you will have to make is whether you want to record together as a band, or separately as individuals (also known as tracking). There are pros and cons with both methods and we’ll be happy to talk them through with you either via phone or email. Another recording option is to just add vocals to a pre-recorded track, we’ve done this for plenty of recording artists who have used the studio already.

Mixdown

Once all the separate parts are down on hard disk it’s a matter of moulding and blending the individual tracks to make you sound like a tight, single unit. The main method here is to ensure that all parts are heard throughout the recording and any parts that need emphasizing are boosted to make them stand out. We will also add clarity, sparkle, warmth or fatness to your recording as required to produce the exact sound you want.
